The media and blogospheric onslaught continued against Sarah Palin over the weekend and probably will not abate much until her first interview. The silence of the Obama/Biden camp was also conspicuous as well. In addition to western astrology, I also value the Arguelles count in The Mayan Calendar. For those not familiar with The Mayan Calendar, it’s a lunar based calendar of 13 months of 28 days, each month an exact day count, all based on the lunation cycle of new to full moon and back again. Jose Arguelles, a controversial, maverick genius has tirelessly promoted the idea of adopting the lunar calendar over the solar, Gregorian calendar. It’s his thesis that by adopting the lunar calendar, it moves us into more organic cycles of time, the feminine principle and harmony with nature. He has also promoted, as have others such as Terrence McKenna and his Mayan time rival, John Major Jenkins that the Mayan Calendar will run out in December, 2012, just a month after the next president will be elected. However, the eschaton that Arguelles and others predict will not be business as usual on Earth. Some prophecize Earth changes, the coming of Niburu, entering the heart of The Photon Belt, you name it. But I’m getting way ahead of the October 2nd debate.

I went to Tortuga.Com a website fully devoted to Arguelles’, time model and the planet art project. They have a nifty calendar that converts a Gregorian birth date into an Arguelles, lunar birthdate. Each day, month and year are ruled by totems, symbols and numeric values that convey psychological and spiritual meaning. I typed in Sarah Palin’s birthdate and it appears that she is a “White Lunar Wizard.” How fitting is that? Let the KKK jokes and white supremacy innuendo begin! But what’s striking about her glyph is the following line which determines how she interphases with the world: “I polarize in order to enchant.” if that doesn’t describe Sarah Palin at this phase of her youngish political career, I’m not sure what does. The totality of her glyph/count plays out like this:kin 54: White Lunar Wizard

I Polarize in order to Enchant
Stabilizing Receptivity
I seal the Output of Timelessness
With the Lunar tone of Challenge
I am guided by the power of Death

I’m posting this only because I think it’s enlightening to look at Palin’s dramatic ability to polarize a country. Is this a good thing one might ask? Look at the second line; “Stabilizing Receptivity.”To me it speaks of a person that can turn the tide, using a lunar metaphor once again and in the context of how she entered the race, energizing the electorate she did stabilize the receptivity of McCain’s candidacy. I will venture deeply into Obama’s Mayan count in my next post, but for now, let’s look at the upcoming Palin/Biden debate.

What I find fascinating about all four candidates is how difficult it is to find any one chart that is the definitive chart of that person. I’ve seen two different charts for Palin, Obama and Biden. Even John McCain, whom some people think that his Panamanain birth renders him inelegible for the presidency has some haze hanging over his own chart. Biden’s birth time is also hard to pin down, but it appears that he is a Scorpio with a Sag rising. He has The Sun and Venus conjunct in Scorpio in his 12th house. The conjunction makes Biden very magnetic in his own way, and a man that enjoys sexual pleasure, particularly since he has Mars and Mercury, also in Scorpio. We’re talking stellium in Scorpio, squaring Palin’s stellium in Aquarius. Remember my last post when I mentioned the serpent and the eagle? The debate between Biden and Plain will be the psychic union of the serpent and the eagle manifest. If Biden can keep his mind on the debate versus fantasizing what he’d like to do with Sarah Palin, he should do fairly well, as the Moon and Venus are both in Scorpio and Venus will be conjunct Mars in Biden’s chart which should really boost his magnetism. The Moon will move through all of his Scorpion planets lighting them up. While it boosts Biden’s already strong, Venus/Mars magnetism, it also moves through his 12th house, the house of secrets. I would not be surprised if the Palin camp has a few zingers ready to unload on Biden, bringing up how he has consistently blocked the development of oil and it’s distribution to the continental US since his first term as a jr senator, where his dissenting vote of the Alaskan pipline sent the vote to Spiro Agnew to unlock. The 12th house is ruled by Neptune and as we discussed before, Neptune rules liquids, like oil.

Look for Palin to come at Biden’s reluctance to pursue energy independence, especially as it relates to global security, war on terror, etc, etc. Biden will need to be firm, but play nice. Scorpio can be cutting and bitter and the one thing that he doesn’t want to do is go after Palin in a way that he’ll regret the following day.

With The Sun and Venus in Biden’s 12th house, there is a lot about the man that we still do not know. The Joe Biden that is shown to the world is not the Joe Biden that exists behind the scenes. The debate, especially with The Moon moving through his 12th house should illuminate some of the Joe Biden that he keeps in reserve, out of view from the rest of us.

For Palin, the power of Libra will be her ace in the hole. Mercury will be at 19 degrees in Libra. It will trine her Aquarian Sun and give an extra boost when it comes to not only communicating, but doing it in a way that brings balance into all situations (Libra) for the highest good (Aquarius). She will be super sharp that night and has the opportunity to level the playing field against the more seasoned and experienced Biden. With the transiting Libra Sun in her seventh house, opposing her natal Jupiter in the first house in Aries, she needs to be careful and not overreach and exaggerate on certain key points and issues, if she does, the press will be ready and waiting. In the end, it will be Biden’s intensity and magnetisim, versus Palin’s charm, brains and beauty. Should be great theater and a pivotal point in not only the upcoming election, but in the lives of both.

Next up–Obama and Biden–a looming power struggle?

    Hi Robert,

I just found your site and although I´m not into politics I really enjoy astrology and your analysis of the candidates. I am catching up on your whole series in one go!
I wanted to ask you if you could possibly give a link to the Tortuga.com site where you typed in Sarah Palin´s birth date to get that “White Lunar Wizard” description, I have not had any luck finding it myself. Having a Pluto Uranus Vesta Venus Conjunction in Virgo I´m wondering what the description will be.

    much LIGHT and thank you,

Barack Obama’s book, “The Audacity of Hope,” features a appealing title. It has an idea of bravery mixed confidently. There is nothing Pollyanna concerning this. I would possibly not support almost everything he says, but he’s our president, and for me, he inspires confidence. Which will do more for a country than any volume of backroom deals. Hope gives us energy, and energy sustains us through trying times. Boy, we’ve had them. I’m from West Texas, and I did not vote for Bush. When McCain ran against Obama, I used to be a citizen of Arizona, but I gave audacious hope a chance. The fight for progress and laying the foundations of prosperity is just not over. I have come across the quips of those that don’t think Obama can do it. But step back a second. Would anyone have all of us fail simply to tarnish the star of an incumbent for whom they did not vote? Attempting to keep our priorities straight, let’s work together with this president and build our future.

I’d be right there with you if we weren’t mired in three wars, allow crooked bankers to occupy White House office space, give sweetheart deals to Monsanto, etc. All I’m getting is lots of hype and very little hope.
