rxActivating duality.

I closed my last post with this:

“If Team Obama is following the doctrine of Alinsky, by the book, then there is another layer to what’s happening. Here is another bon mot from Alinksy; “The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.” Is Obama and The DC gang pushing hard so that when they unveil the next iteration of healthcare reform, one that they probably already have cooked up, that the reflexive force exerted upon them by the masses will be successfully dissipated as a solution in a classically Hegellian fashion arrives on time. just like magic? It had better, because one of Alinsky’s other guiding principles talks about the importance of time and timing; “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.”

Today we get this out of Washington;

” Bowing to Republican pressure and an uneasy public, President Barack Obama’s administration signaled Sunday it is ready to abandon the idea of giving Americans the option of government-run insurance as part of a new health care system.

Facing mounting opposition to the overhaul, administration officials left open the chance for a compromise with Republicans that would include health insurance cooperatives instead of a government-run plan. Such a concession probably would enrage Obama’s liberal supporters but could deliver a much-needed victory on a top domestic priority opposed by GOP lawmakers.” Yahoo.

Am I psychic? Or am I just a good study of the dynamic at play? But this isn’t about me. The real question is; Is if this was the original plan to begin with? Was all the sturm and drang just an Alinsky inspired aikido move to set up the next layer that was already waiting in the wings? Is this a compromise between Saturn and Uranus?

My astro blogging pal, Elsa P, has mentioned that Obama has an astrologer on staff (a woman). Was she responsible for the announcement falling on a Sunday? If so, what would be the trigger? I think it has something with the Moon in Gemini conjuncting Mars in the same sign, as well as The US Mars in Gemini at 21 degrees. If there were ever a time to make an announcement along these lines, one that would have a dual nature or dual meaning to it’s purpose, now would be that time, as Mars and the Moon, normally tempestuous bed mates, could actually find some form of conciliation if the intent was to insert another layer into the dialog, one that assumes the stance of some form of capitulation, when in actuality was much closer to the desired effect in the first place.

If we look into the heart of he Sabian Symbol for 21 Gemini, we get not just a healthy glimpse into the soul of American debate, but one that reflects the current tumult surrounding healthcare.

A tumultuous labor demonstration.

The definition as put forth by Dane Rudhyar is enlightening to say the least:

“The mass of men have been aroused by mental images, slogans and an appetite for the abundance the “ruling class” enjoys.” Rudhyar goes onto add that, “The organic functions make their collective demands upon the lordly intellect. The stage may be set for the kind of “revolution” we call “psychoneurosis.” Was this announcement today, especially as the Moon, softened the energies of Mars, yet supported the inherent duality of the day’s energy triggered by Obama’s star watcher? Was is it done to diffuse the demands of the collective while running a second track towards it’s desired destination? All very plausible when the twins are activated in the service of duality, multiplicity, and a mirror held up to polarized public. It becomes a reflection of itself, providing the simulacra of a real event, while the nexus of true intention flies under the radar, unsuspected and cloaked in the spirit of compromise.

Your theory is certainly one possibility. But also it could be that Obama truly wanted to do something pretty radical, even though he suspected what would happen when he presented it. He wasn’t certain, and so “threw his hat into the ring” as it were. The result was probably worse than he’d expected, especially from blue doggies on his own side, and so-called progressives who want the impossible in one fell-swoop. GOP’s reaction must have been expected. In order to get something moving he has to compromise. At least it’ll be a tiny step for mankind in the USA – not a lot of good, but better than nothing.

I wish he he could be more aggressive, Bush used to get things done in spite of opposition- but those opposing Obama are a lot more likely to start something physically aggressive, and he or people around him and connected to his administration could get hurt – I wonder if that’s part of it.

I’ll spend more time with this and I am sure that I can find at lease two other links that refute this and you can do the same and we can play this game all day if we like. I am of the mind that we need less government and not more. We need much more local participation and bio-regional representation. I am fine with dissenting opinions and links.

I think Obama has been plenty aggressive. He got the cap and trade/clean energy bill passed (systemic taxes) and he got The Food Safety Act passed, neither of which should be underestimated by the benign titles assigned to those bills. The Food Safety Act gives Big Agra through the GOV very broad powers, especially as it relates to intervening on a state level regarding the presence, use and application of organic farming, framers market and even homegrown gardens.

We’ll see how hard his admin pushes when it comes to vaccines, which will be the real litmus for his administration and could really cleave the country.

Okay, I have had some time to do a quick search and here is the nut of the of the Food and Safety Act that has people corned and this is not from Fox News or from some conservatie or righty site. It’s from Echochildsplay, a green parenting site:

“Under H.R. 875, all participants in farmers’ markets will be forced to register, otherwise the market will be shut down as an illegal operation. Failure to comply with the Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009 would result in a fine of up to $1,000,000 per violation. Specifically, the law would apply to any food establishment, including farmers’ markets, defined as:

    (A) IN GENERAL- The term ‘food establishment’ means a slaughterhouse (except those regulated under the Federal Meat Inspection Act or the Poultry Products Inspection Act), factory, warehouse, or facility owned or operated by a person located in any State that processes food or a facility that holds, stores, or transports food or food ingredients.

Just like small family handmade toy companies can’t afford the requirements under CPSIA, the extra requirements and inspections required of small family farms under the Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009 would be a burden. I believe this bill is well intentioned; however, some critics have gone so far as to say the bill criminalizes organic farming. Ironically, or not so ironically, the bill was introduced by Rosa DeLauro whose husband Stanley Greenburg works for Monsanto.

Linn Cohen-Cole from OpEdNews which bills itself as “Progressive-Tough-Liberal” calls this “Monsanto’s Dream Bill.”

Cohen-Cole even goes as far to say the following:

“The bill is monstrous on level after level – the power it would give to Monsanto, the criminalization of seed banking, the prison terms and confiscatory fines for farmers, the 24 hours GPS tracking of their animals, the easements on their property to allow for warrantless government entry, the stripping away of their property rights, the imposition by the filthy, greedy industrial side of anti-farming international “industrial” standards to independent farms – the only part of our food system that still works, the planned elimination of farmers through all these means.”

Now either she and her site are clever fronts for “The Right” or maybe there is some truth to the damaging nature of the bill.

I stand by my original post and my assertions.

We could play ping-pong with pros and cons for a long time, I suppose, Robert, and still not make progress. It’s all a symptom of that wide innate USA divide. Maybe we are the microcosm of the macrocosm……. 😉 I’m not impressed with politics in the USA, whichever party is in power it’s the same dirty game.
